I believe in listening to my students needs, because that way I am better able to understand their skills when it comes to problem solving, as well as how they express themselves. I try to center my teaching style around the needs of the student. I believe if I can understand wherein the struggle lies, I will be able to help them more. I then design our tutoring session around their struggles.I am a writer, and I love to work with students and show them how to express and put their thoughts into compelling essays that grab and hold the reader's attention. I graduated with my bachelor's degree from Barnard College, Columbia University, where I majored in English Literature. In my free time, I love to write, play the violin, and go running.
