The main reason why I love tutoring so much is the deep level of gratification I get from helping students overcome their difficulties and watching them become more confident and stress-free in regards to their studies. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Performance Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and I also took many classes on art history and politics. My journey as a tutor began during my days as a high school student. During this time, I helped students with public speaking skills, and helped writers prepare for their SAT essays. Preparing students for SAT essays is definitely my specialty, although I am more than proficient at tutoring students in all areas of writing skills. I pride myself in being able to make SAT essays and other writing exams into a source of joy. I do this primarily by having my students take as many practice tests as our time together will allow. The connections I form with my students are often lifelong, and some of my earliest students are some of my closest friends today. I try never to lose touch with any student, making sure to check in from time to time, and I have promised myself never to give up on a single one.
