Private tutor in Brooklyn, NY

Experience
I graduated from Binghamton University with a bachelor's degree in cellular and molecular biology. At the moment, I am taking a semester-long break before starting medical school. I've always had a for science and learning more about how things work, which is why I worked as a teacher's assistant throughout my time as an undergraduate student. During this time, I marked homework, helped students understand challenging concepts, tutored individuals on a one-on-one basis, and held my own office hours. As someone who also benefited from private lessons, I understand how working with the right tutor can be transformative. For this reason, I'm dedicated to helping anyone who's interested to learn more about life sciences, physics, and college-level mathematics. I believe that in order to be a good and effective teacher, one must have patience and empathy. I work hard to try and understand things from my student's point of view so that I'm able to come up with a teaching strategy that works best for the student. Outside of education, I really enjoy reading novels - especially science fiction ones. I also enjoy playing team sports and maintaining an active lifestyle. While I play a number of different sports, my favorite two are football and soccer.
