I am an experienced English college writing tutor with undergraduate and graduate degrees in Journalism. I also self-published a novel in 2012. So, I have top notch writing skills in both the nonfiction and fiction spheres. Writing is one of the best ways to express one's thoughts and opinions, and I believe anyone can do it. I tutor with a good balance of firmness and gentleness, which makes students get the point while still being energized and motivated. I also believe it is easier to write when you feel strongly about the subject or topic. Passion makes writing so much easier! I once tutored students on their college essays at my alma mater, the College of Staten Island. The students I helped were at all levels, from remedial to Masters. Some were even students who's first language was not English, so I am experienced in working with ESL students.
