EducationColumbia University - BA, English
ExperienceI obtained my Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus on Art History in the 20th Century and Critical Theory, Philosophy and its history, and Buddhism from Columbia University. I have tutored in subjects from Grammar and Literature to Philosophy and Art History. I also speak Spanish, so I can help students learn this language. The SAT is an important part of education, so I provide assistance with preparation for this and several other standardized tests. I also provide tutoring in Writing, Essay Editing, College Essays, and Public Speaking.Education requires a mutual respect between teacher and student, which I hope to attain during my own tutoring sessions. I do my best to pay attention to the differences between each student, as each one requires their own study methods. I also have a great respect for detail. The best way for the teacher/student relationship to work is for both parties to practice patience. Students need to have patience with me as I fully explain the material, and I have patience for them as they are coming to understand it.In my spare time, I enjoy playing music, collecting vinyl records, and working on audio-visual collages.
