Experience
I earned my master's degree in English Literature from Brooklyn College. At London's Brunel University, I earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Contemporary Literature and Culture. I received my Sociology bachelor's degree from the University of York, and I was awarded an International Baccalaureate diploma from the Munich International School. Studying in Britain, the United States, and Germany has given me the expertise I need to tutor and teach in German and English. At the Munich International School, I taught first through fifth graders German for two years. I also taught ESL at a German summer camp. At present my husband and I supervise an adult creative writing group. Individual tutoring in my favorite academic relationship. I like being able to mold my instruction to each specific student and enjoy being able to give my pupils my undivided attention. I like our sessions to be fun and productive.My passion is in tutoring languages, literature, and writing. I teach all levels of German and English, and prefer the literary and creative genres. I appreciate the way one-on-one tutoring allows me to give the student my undivided attention so I can specifically tailor my approach to that student's needs, providing compassion and mentorship in a close tutoring relationship.In my free time, I enjoy music, traveling, skiing, and good food and conversation.
