I love helping students to reach beyond their potential and succeed in previously unimaginable ways. When teaching literature, I hone students' critical thinking skills such that they are able to deconstruct text per Derrida and de Man and also analyse using the works of Lukacs and Lacan as lenses for such. Students have informed me that my classes were a breath of fresh air for them and that they left looking at the world in a different way as a result of having taken them. I research, teach, and write which permit me a fairly flexible schedule, since I can do all of these activities online for this semester and the next (Academic Year 2014-2015). This permits me to make one or two appointments in person in Manhattan near Columbus Circle as I spend time in the Midwood Area of New York by Brooklyn College.
