I am a tutor with an efficient style. I like to use diagnostic testing and conversation in the first session or two to uncover the specific areas in which my students are struggling. Then I address those problem areas with specific techniques as we move forward.I am a History major at Georgetown University. It was in high school at Phillips Exeter Academy that I began pursuing my passion for working with children, acting, writing, debate, and international affairs. Also in high school, I volunteered to work with Indonesian children, joined the debate team, and completed five internships.My strongest subjects to tutor, based on my academic background, are French, English, and History. I studied French in grade school and am fluent in it. It helped that half my family lives in Switzerland. I also have had intensive tutoring in the PSAT and SAT and have an excellent ability to show students how to excel on those tests. My other subjects include Math, Social Studies, Writing, Algebra 1, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Public Speaking, Grammar and Mechanics, ISEE, Literature, and many more. In my spare time, I enjoy creative writing, theater, politics, debate, and fashion.
