Experience
I earned a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in Mathematics and Mathematics Education at Brooklyn College. I also earned a minor in Sociology, which provides me with deeper insight to people and how they interact. Currently, I am working towards my certification for teaching. My teaching experience ranges from working with large Math classes to working on an individual level and everything in between. I have had the opportunity to provide private tutoring in Math and English to primary and secondary students through a program that worked with at risk students. Furthermore, I have experience in working with TRIO to provide tutoring services in Math and English to high school students. My role as an educator is to break down complex concepts into smaller pieces that a student can more easily digest. I want my students to have "oh, I get it" breakthroughs because those are the moments that I live for. I am interested in tutoring Math and English at various levels. I love to dance, play sports, and to sing. I have been playing tennis for more than ten years. I have danced many styles, but I am the most proud of the progress that I have made in ballroom dancing in the last three years.
