I am a tutor in Inver Grove Height, Minnesota who has a true passion for US history and public speaking. I have experience tutoring students in grade levels, ranging from kindergarten to sixth grade. The subjects that I tutor include reading, writing, different math topics, English fluency, grammar and mechanics, American history, essay editing, and social studies. I began tutoring elementary school age children while I was a student majoring in history and political science at Northwestern University. As a tutor at a neighboring school, my job assignment was to help students improve in subjects, such as math, reading, and science. Additionally, I also helped secondary school students with subjects that included public speaking, debating, researching skills, and politic science. After being awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree with cum laude honors from Northwestern in my majors, I went to New York to teach middle school math for a summer school session that was part of the Teach for America program. During a two week period, there was an improvement rate in my students of approximately 16 percent. I am totally committed to helping my students succeed academically and instilling in them the value of integrity and a strong character. In my spare time, some activities that I enjoy are traveling to new places or cities, horseback riding, drawing, and getting together with friends.
