I graduated from the University of Tulsa with a Master's Degree in English, and a TEFL certificate with 110 hours of teaching practice. I spent seven years teaching ESL to international students of all ages in the US, Poland, and Turkey. I have experience in guiding students through writing projects, such as doctoral dissertations, book reports, college essays, and statements of purpose. I'm currently enrolled at St. John's University to earn my doctorate in Literature. I am capable of tutoring in literary subjects of all levels, including business English, ELL, high school and college English, and phonics. I am a professor in university-level World Literature courses. I enjoy working with students to prepare them for standardized testing, particularly TOEFL and other ESL/ELL exams. I have seen top results in m students in both the writing and critical reading portions of exams. My students and I work through the subject with a heavy focus on the concepts that they struggle with the most. I believe that students need to be familiar with their subject in order to truly master it. I aim to provide better opportunities to students through education. Though tutoring and teaching are my primary passions in life, I also enjoy basketball, photography, traveling, and playing pool.
