Experience
I have a BA from the University of Michigan in Brain Behavior and Cognitive Science, and also in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. I spent many years studying Spanish and Portuguese languages, and I taught Spanish in public school in Ann Arbor. I spent time in Nicaragua with a non-profit group as an international volunteer coordinator, and I also taught English to Nicaraguan high school students. Now that I'm in New York City, I'm continuing to teach by tutoring students in Biology, Psychology, AP Biology, SAT Writing and Languages, English, Social Sciences, Test Prep, High School English, and College English. I thoroughly enjoy Spanish language and culture and would love to share it with you or your student while teaching Spanish 1-4, AP Spanish Literature and Culture, or Conversational Spanish. If you're not a native English speaker, I can help you with ESL/ELL courses. I work hard to make learning interesting and fun for my students. Outside of the classroom, I relax by spending time at home cooking or hanging out with my dog. I enjoy being outdoors and like running, cycling, hiking, and camping.
