I earned a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Connecticut, graduating from the honors program at the university. My focuses were composition and literature. I also was involved on campus with creative writing, hosting readings, and winning prizes from Mount Holyoke and the University of Connecticut for my literary works. I had the opportunity to work with the writing center on campus tutoring students to help them improve their writing skills. I enjoy working with students individually, and I utilize a collaborative and flexible approach. Whatever I work with students on, I always try to guide them to their understanding as opposed to lecturing them or giving away answers.
