I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching English. I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor's degree in English. I am also certified as a freelance and resume writer. I am comfortable tutoring students in a wide range of English related subject areas, including writing, reading, literature, grammar and mechanics, and language and composition. I am also available to tutor students in math at the elementary level. I can also help students write and edit collegiate level essays. I have always had a passion for tutoring and teaching because I grew up with younger siblings. My philosophy as a tutor emphasizes creating an environment that is relaxed. I am also a very patient individual, which helps create a relaxing atmosphere. In addition, I am also adept at adapting my teaching style to fit with each student's preferred learning style. Each student is unique and it is imperative to find a teaching method that will work best for each individual student. My goal as a tutor is to make sure that my student's learning experience is accessible, engaging, and fun. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, traveling, practicing yoga, and trying out new restaurants.
