I earned degrees in journalism and writing from SUNY at Purchase College. I've three years of experience as a tutor, helping students with writing, English, and math. I like to help my students understand the concepts as opposed to just hear about them. Students should know why an answer they gave was correct or incorrect, which helps them refine their problem solving skills. If students can truly understand a concept, they can apply the knowledge to find right answers as opposed to memorizing formulas or steps.
