ExperienceI'm studying for my doctoral degree from UW - Madison Department of Counseling Psychology. Between mentoring, advising, tutoring, and coordinating student support for graduate students, undergraduate students, high school level students, and middle school students, I have seven years experience. I love assisting students by helping them become better learners and become more confident. I have an academic background in science and math, and the minor for my PhD is research design and statistics. I also attended UC - Irvine for my bachelor's degree in comparative literature. I can tutor many subjects, but my favorites are English, psychology, math, and test taking skills and preparation for standardized tests. When I work with student, I identify their strengths and build on them, and I utilize many different effective learning techniques. From this, we figure out the student's unique learning style and adapt to it to maximize the effectiveness of our studies. When I have some free time, I like to swim, do yoga, play the guitar, cook, drink coffee, and watch professional football.
