I am from Brooklyn, New York. I am available and looking forward to tutoring students in calculus, biology, and chemistry while I wait to find out which medical school I will attend. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in music, from the Dallas campus of the University of Texas.I have four years of experience in tutoring students in advanced mathematics and the sciences, and I understand how tutoring works, what works and what doesn't. I know that mathematics and sciences can be difficult topics to understand. Often, interactions between the tutor and student are passive, so the sessions don't always bring about the desired positive result. This is because the reason behind the student's struggles is not always addressed. I know how to break subjects down to ensure success in tutoring students. Whether a student is struggling in pre-calculus, biological sciences, or Advanced Placement statistics, I take the time to explain the topic as thoroughly as possible. I will ensure that the students understand the topic at hand before moving on to another concept. During my off-time, I perform stand-up comedy and take part in music-related projects. I also enjoy beatboxing and reading for pleasure.
