I'm currently attending Hofstra University for my graduate degree in forensic linguistics. I have six years of tutoring experience, and I really enjoy it. I love to learn, and I helping others learn as well. I like to take material that we study related to the real world. I also tell students why subjects we study are important. I'm very enthusiastic in my sessions as well, I want my students to have fun while they learn. As someone who breezed through the public schools and then faced difficulties in college, I understand the importance of solid study habits, so I share these with my students as well. My ultimate goal is to help students learn concepts along with critical thinking and problem-solving skills so that they can become self-sufficient learners. I enjoy the individualized approach of tutoring, because I can focus on the specific needs and learning style of each individual that I work with. I want to present information in a way to help students work through obstacles, make sense to them, and keep some engaged and motivated to achieve success. When I have free time, I enjoy going out for trivia nights, playing Scrabble, and staying fit and active. I also enjoy baseball.
