I was still a teenager in high school when I realized I had a keen interest in Math. With that in mind, I went on to major in that very subject when I started college. It was while I was in college that I discovered music and how much it meant to me. As a senior, I paired the two greatest passions in my life by using Math concepts, in Geometry and Topology, put to music theory for a project. I was soon in awe of the way that Math can and does apply to our everyday lives and that is the passion I try to communicate to the students that I tutor. In my humble opinion, Math is important for your mind as well as very valuable. I started tutoring Math when I was still in high school and went on to be a teacher's assistant as well. In this way, I improved my teaching skills even more. I believe that you should use an approach that is calm and balanced if you want a student to want to learn Math and succeed in doing so. I am patient with my students and feel that I should teach at a pace that is most comfortable for them to learn.
