Hello, my name is Margaret. I am located in Brooklyn, New York. I have attended Columbia University and Barnard College. My major at these colleges was Italian Literature. During my junior year, I participated in an exchange program in Rome where I became fluent in Italian through immersion and study. While there, I grew incredibly fond of Italian films. The sights were an incredible backdrop to my jogs around town. I have since returned numerous times to Italy for work post-graduation. However, most recently, I've discovered my love for teaching and educating while living in Istanbul. While living in Istanbul, I taught students English as a second language. Teaching and education can serve as a bridge to expand goodwill between different nations and cultures. I like being a part of that. I utilize goals in my teaching methodology. Students are given a realistic and efficient goal to work towards and I aid them along the way to keep them focused. This process is pragmatic and effective; it keeps problem-solving simple for students. Whether it be a difficult math problem or a challenging grammatical issue, I will be there every step of the way.
