Hi, I'm Bethany. My tutoring style focuses on giving my students the confidence they need to write effectively. I believe it is important that students are confident and relaxed in their writing approach. The most efficient way to improve writing skills is to practice consistently and develop an understanding of the importance of the written word. I am available to tutor in all subjects related to English, such as reading, essay editing, grammar and mechanics, literature, reading, and writing. I earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Adelphi University. Prior to that, I received a bachelor's degree in English Education from New York University. While I was earning my degrees, I helped undergrad and graduate students with their writing assignments. Before that, I was a seventh-grade English teacher. I live in Brooklyn New York, and in my spare time, you can find me writing poetry.
