Experience
I have previously worked as a tutor to elementary-age students, and I trained collage applicants on how to write a successful application essay, shortly upon graduating high school. I would like to be a tutor because I am passionate about writing (grammar included!) and literature, and I would love to share my expertise with others. It would be particularly gratifying to bring out the writer in someone who never identified as such, and to help others realize their unique voice. I'm currently a freelance writer and have a rather eclectic resume (for better or worse!) which includes working as the senior editor for a start-up site, writing grants for Michael Bloomberg's philanthropy foundation, creative consulting for Elle magazine, and working as the assistant photo editor for The New York Observer in college.
