I believe writing is thinking and that everyone--from a pre-school age to a senior--can improve their thinking through the act of clear, conscientious writing and reading. My aspiration is to pass on my love of language to everyone I teach. At Columbia, I was the managing editor of Columbia: A Journal of Literature & Art, as well as the Assistant Director for Columbia Artist and Teachers. I was the editor in chief of 303 Magazine for six years and the associate editor of the Rocky Mountain Oil Journal for two.
