I graduated from Kingsborough Community College with a B.A. in Secretarial Science and I graduated from Brooklyn College with a B.A. (with honors) in English Lit.
Experience
I am a published poet, book reviewer, proofreader, and editor. My mission is to "restore the English language to its former glory." I feel that a good way to do this would be through tutoring students how to construct cogent sentences and analyze literature in order to write stellar essays. I also believe that a good working knowledge of grammar, punctuation and spelling are essential for students' future careers and success. I have tutored young children in urban neighborhoods, and have given poetry workshops for many years. I am an excellent communicator. I am very patient, and can give students the motivation they need to become interested in literature and writing.

Hobbies
I am a history buff (a member of the Civil War Round Table of New York, where I am on the Board of Directors). I have my own proofreading/editing business called "100 Proof." I am active in the poetry world as a performer and editor. I love seeing people succeed, I am very easy to work with, and I absolutely love teaching. I also edit an online poetry journal which has become quite popular both nationally and internationally. Many people have said that I have inspired them to become writers.
