For the last year, I've tutored many students in English Literature, Writing and Art History as part of a boutique education agency, based in downtown Manhattan. Many of those students were later accepted into prestigious New York schools, including NYU. Before that, I had extensive private tutoring experience in the same area, mostly with high school and university students. TEST SCORES: SAT: 2280 (Critical Reading: 780, Math: 720, Writing: 780) SAT II, Literature: 800 AP English: 5 AP Environmental Science: 5 AP European History: 5 AP Biology: 4 AP Music Theory: 4 I want to be a tutor because I love helping kids learn and succeed. I don't think our education system has the resources and sensitivity to deal with every child's abilities, idiosyncrasies, and learning methods. One-on-one tutoring is a great opportunity for students to learn in a comfortable, supportive environment.
