*Currently a New York City Department of Education Special Education Teacher *Tutored for 10+ Years for many different well known non Profit Organizations. *Sat 1220 (almost 15 years ago prior test) *I would love to be a tutor because i have experience in accessing that part of a child's brain that they either have trouble reaching or lack the self confidence to do so. I believe in engaging a child's interests in their learning pattern. *I am Wilson Reading System trained as well as SMILE which are both programs that assist in teaching children how to read, and if they already know the basics how to build fluency. I have also participated in numerous Department of Education certified professional developments that help with instruction. * I am a basketball coach; have helped build students self esteem with confidence and efficiency.
