I have had extensive experience and training as a tutor. The following is my tutoring experience in the past few years: Tufts University Writing Fellows Program • Tutored 9-12 Tufts students per semester in writing during one-on-one sessions for Community Health, Psychology, History, and Child Development classes for 3 years. • As Head Fellow, I led 40+ fellows, assisted in training new fellows, and organized group events • Received highly positive evaluations every semester, averaging a 4.77 out of 5 score in all documented categories, including ability to create a comfortable learning environment and tailor sessions to individual learning styles, patience, respectfulness, preparedness, professionalism, and listening skills Leonard Carmichael Society at Tufts University • Tutored an 8th grade girl in math, science, and English • Assisted with her high school applications, leading to her successful entry into desired school I was also a Big Sister with the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston for four years, mentoring an elementary school girl to encourage her investment in school and in her community. The interpersonal skills I have developed with children through this position, as well as with college-level students through my Writing Fellows experience, make me an effective tutor for any age.
