Experience
I hope to spread my knowledge, enthusiasm for learning, and patience to your child(ren) as I guide them to challenge themselves and approach subjects in new ways. I want to help them to learn to recognize and be proud of the progress they are making, one step at a time, no matter how big or small that step is. I studied to be an elementary teacher for 2 years before changing my major to psychology so I have a strong background in pedagogy and know how to make learning fun and effective, especially when it comes for studying for major exams. I assisted students with ADHD and Autism diagnoses on my college campus to learn time management, study skills, and organizational skills, working as a Time Management Tutor. I tutored in spanish for a girl with a learning disability for a year and helped her to pass the class.I have done homework help with several kids in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. I assisted two individuals with developmental disabilities pass the college class and certification examination for First Aid & CPR. I got a 1780 overall on the SAT and 4s on the AP Language & Composition exam, Literature exam, and US History exam.
