Private tutor in Brooklyn, NY
Education
Sophomore, Biology and Business major, Writing minor at Stony Brook University
Experience
Since my sophomore year of high school, I have been an peer tutor. I like working with students and explaining lessons to them. After I graduated High school, I started mentoring a few senior students from my high school. I helped them with their college applications and essays. Because of attending at International High school, I was not offered any AP courses. My SAT scores were, 440 for reading, 510 for math and 410 writing. I want to be a tutor, because I see it as an opportunity to learn from the students I teach. When I am able to explain a concept to a student 10 times without losing my patient, I can assure myself that when I face harder things in the future, I won't give up. So far, as a sophomore in college, I have taken two general chemistry, one molecular and cellular biology and five writing classes. My junior year of high school, I was nominated to be a pioneer of science for the World Science Festival. Last summer, I completed an internship at the New York Methodist Hospital as a nursing assistant. I have also been on the Dean's list for all semesters of college.

Hobbies
I like to read. I have read almost 100 books since I moved to the US about 4 years ago. At first it was just to learn to speak English. But now I mostly read to relieve my stress.
