My name is Whiting and I am an equities trader on Wall Street. I recently graduated from Lafayette College, a prestigious liberal arts college in Pennsylvania, as an economics and biochemistry dual degree with Cum Laude honors. On top of my school work, I would work as a tutor for my college's academic resource center where I tutored Calculus I/II/III, economics, statistics and financial accounting to my fellow peers who needed help with their coursework. During my time working as a tutor for the academic resource center, I have tutored many students with varying skill levels. I have had experience adjusting my lesson plan to suit the needs of my students and working extra hours to help my students succeed. Furthermore, I volunteered for an after school program organized by my college. We would help teachers at the local middle school organize activities for the kids and help them with their schoolwork as part of the program. The program was created to not only take care of the kids while their parents still worked but also provide supplemental education to whatever they learned during school hours. I spent at least 4 hours of the week helping kids with their homework but also managing and participating in fun activities whenever appropriate. I have had experience tutoring students with many different skill levels, backgrounds, and age groups on countless subjects. Even though I work full time as a trader, I still have the passion to help students in need and try to help them succeed.
