Experience

I've been working with college level and high school level students for six years. Currently, I'm an instructor in the communications, media, and journalism department at the University of North Georgia. I went to the New College of Florida to earn my bachelor's degree in political science. After I graduated, I went to the Savannah College of Art & Design to get a master's degree in photography. While I love photography, I also love science, math, Spanish, and French. I had opportunities to work and study in Central America and in Paris, France. I can sympathize with students who struggle to learn a particular subject, because learning languages was very hard for me. I struggled to get from simple conversation to proficiency, but I was able accomplish it with hard work and dedication. In addition to these subjects, I can also help students prepare for the SAT and ACT. I'm adept at teaching students of any learning style, and I have resources and materials to help everybody, but I work exceptionally well with students who learn visually. My interests outside of education include environmentalism, writing, art, and photography.
