Hi, I taught high school science for two years in Baltimore, MD and only left the classroom because I am pursing a Ph.D in Neuroscience at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. I loved teaching and look at tutoring and individualized instruction as a great way to continue teaching while I am working on my own degree. I have a lot of experience working one on one with students as a general math and science tutor and also have experience in SAT, ACT, and Science AP test preparation. I teach (tutor) in order to increase general understanding of subjects so that students will score better on the test they are preparing for and also walk away with lasting knowledge and confidence. I'd be happy to meet regularly to help a student stay on top of an ongoing class.
