Jordan T.

Private tutor in Brooklyn, NY

Education

University of Mississippi bachelor of Music-education. GPA: 3.85 Currently am a graduate student at Hunter College for School Counseling

Experience

In my undergraduate years I was the official music theory tutor at my University. I was a music teacher for the last five years in the doe teaching 6-12th grade music but also worked with students on test prep for literature and math after school. I also scored a 165 on the Verbal portion of the GRE. I want to tutor because I loved my job as a teacher. I had to leave to pursue a new career as a counselor but would love to tutor as a way to keep helping people learn.

Hobbies

I am originally from MS. I moved to New York to pursue a teaching career. After five years I realized that I fell in love with the social emotional aspect of teaching more than the content so I decided to pursue a career in counseling. I still love working with students young and old and look forward to tutoring. In my free time I love to play Ultimate Frisbee. I even captain a club team in the summer. Outside of that I really enjoy camping, hiking, walking, and playing video games.
