Experience
I am a tutor who is passionate about helping my students achieve their goals. I'm available to help students in anatomy, biology, chemistry, microbiology, physiology, environmental science, ecology, pharmacology, algebra, English, and a variety of other subjects. I received my degree from the City College of New York and then continued with my education at American University of Antigua School of Medicine. As a tutor I believe that it is important to build confidence in my students. I help them realize that even though they may be struggling in a subject, they most likely already have some knowledge or understanding of that subject. Once students discover this, they become more engaged and enthusiastic because they want to build upon what they know as opposed to having to start from scratch. I know what it is like to struggle as a learner, and I incorporate my own experiences with this into all of my tutoring sessions. It is truly a privilege to watch my students overcome their learning challenges and succeed, particularly adult learners who haven't been in a classroom environment for years. When I'm not tutoring I enjoy playing scrabble, reading books, and spending time with my family. I also love to travel.
