A formal education and professional experience enable me to tutor Spanish language principles and show how all Latin based languages and the word origins connect. I can therefore help one understand the inner workings of a language. My abilities are always put to use to help students become proficient Spanish speakers. I started tutoring high schoolers as an undergraduate and can effectively communicate the various concepts in a way beginning students are receptive to.For more than six years, I have been a translator. I have a B.A. in Spanish Translation & Business, obtained in 2013 from Northern Illinois University. While at the University, I did some of my studies in Madrid, Spain. My general passion for language has been fed by formal education but also from experiences and memories of Spanish culture. I also tutor English, grammar and mechanics, literature, and writing plus AP Spanish literature and culture.Music is another passion. I took vocal training and studied music theory, and have linked my interests of music and Spanish. Aside from language and music, I enjoy traveling, film, and gastronomy and now reside in Chicago, Illinois.
