I am a recent graduate of Brown University with a degree in Comparative History. My Combined SAT score was 2300, I scored a 5 on five AP exams, and I also did very well on a number of SAT II tests. I have worked over the course of 6 years as a tutor and classroom teacher, primarily of SAT prep and ESL. I have also taught ACT, SAT II in a number of subject areas, SSAT, TOEFL, and several AP subjects. I have worked at Kaplan Test Prep and Kaplan University in Miami, as a freelance tutor in Miami and Providence, and at Tao Yun Education Corp. in Shanghai, where I also helped developed original curricula in SAT, SSAT, AP and English instruction. My particular specialty is helping students improve their essay writing, on tests as well as for class and work. I was born and raised in Miami, and speak fluent Spanish in several dialects. I'm currently living in Brooklyn and working as a freelance writer and occasional actor.
