I am a certified math teacher in New York, with eight years of experience teaching students in grades 7 through 12 in New York City public schools. Learning and teaching are my passions. I have experience and enjoy teaching adults and kids of any age. Math is my passion, and I tutor pre-algebra, algebra, elementary and middle school math, geometry, and statistics. I also help students prepare for various tests, including ISEE lower and middle level, SSAT elementary and middle level, PARCC, Regents, and TACHS. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut. I minored in Economics. I also have two master's degrees - a Master of Science in Secondary Education from Pace University and a Master of Arts in Education Policy from Columbia University. I feel fulfilled with my role as a teacher when I see the moment when my students grasp concepts that have challenged them. I am also encouraged when a student's grades improve with my guidance and they gain the confidence they need to continue to have success as they move on to more difficult math subjects and material. Some of my hobbies include cooking, design, art, holistic wellness, and yoga.
