My professional life allowed me to gain a variety of valuable skills to pass on to my students. I have experience in writing and publishing poetry and essays, as well as a familiarity with public speaking and presentation. I am well-versed in writing in MLA, Chicago, and APA styles as well. I have worked in tutoring centers, as well as provided one-on-one tutoring, for over three years. As a tutor, I focus on teaching writing and math. I can help students develop critical reading and writing skills that allow them to succeed both academically and professionally. I can tutor up to college-level English, as well as prepare my students to take their PSAT or SAT in writing and language, reading, and mathematics. I use a dynamic teaching style that is flexible enough to meet the student's individual needs.
