I am deeply passionate about history. I am strongest in American, Asian, and European histories in all time periods and am adept in teaching students about them. I have a firm grasp of different governments, regions, and revolutions, as well as political systems. I am fluent in Portuguese-Portugal and Brazilian-Portuguese, which come in handy during my career as a flight attendant. As a language tutor, I can improve my student's Portuguese vocabulary, accent and pronunciation, and their understanding of regional differences. I work with each student to determine their proficiency level in the subject I am teaching them. I also identify their learning style, personality, skills, and interests to develop lesson plans focused on supporting the student in their goals. I can explain a concept in different ways, taking a different approach depending on the student's learning style. I am a flexible and patient tutor, working at their natural learning pace to ensure optimal comprehension. In my free time, I am working on my fluency in German and Mandarin Chinese, as well as studying historical literature. I love to play soccer and hockey, as well as watch them on TV and in person. In addition, I love to travel and build my Portuguese vocabulary.
