Education
I graduated from Duke University with a B.A. in African & African American Studies. My GPA was a 3.6. I studied and worked in Egypt and South Africa, and completed a semester at New York University in their creative writing program. My coursework focused on sociology, history, and critical theory.
Experience
I have a varied educational and professional background that allow me to connect to a wide range of students and bring an interdisciplinary perspective. My senior year at Duke, I tutored student athletes in African & African American studies. I received a 2010 on my SATs and have received awards for my writing and research from Duke University. I received a 5 on my AP US History Exam, AP World History Exam, AP English Literature Exam, and my AP US Government Exam. I would like to resume tutoring in reading, writing, and history disciplines, as well as SAT preparation, to help children and young adults hone their skills and perform their best, whether it be on standardized tests, exams or college applications.

Hobbies
My hobbies include comedy, songwriting and preforming, painting and watching films. I am always exploring galleries and museums and looking to be inspired by contemporary and historical cultures.
