Mohammed I.

Private tutor in Brooklyn, NY

Education

Sophomore Pre-med/history/Sociology at New York University

Experience

Taught since 2006 1st grader, 2nd and 8th grader. taught pretty much everything: math, English, science, social studies, and most important of all good manner and proper behavior. I want to be a tutor because I want to bring or to be more proper, I want to make a change in the world by teaching my students with deep love and respect for their individual interests, hopes, and desires to be the instrumental genius of tomorrow so that my students can make this world a better place for all of us and for the generations to come after them. I want to be a tutor because as my mother once told me " knowledge and wisdom must be shared and be available to everyone without any exception." i want to be a tutor because I want to make sure that i live in a safe and economically prosperous state and only through educating our young people my dream could become a step closer to the reality. so far i have taken a lot social science courses which includes some honors seminar on violence, beauty, sociology, law and society, philosophy, English, math, Financial accounting 1+2, macro and micro economics, very soon I will be taking chemistry, bio and many more core major courses. Besides that I have taken enough history, chemistry, and math courses at high school which i think prepared me well to teach anyone from pre-K to 12th grade. I have done an internship with a South Asian Organization called DRUM where I have learned a lot of leadership skills and also facilitated youth power workshops and also helped undocumented high school students with their school work. I have also participated in a research questionnaire prepared by the CUNY graduate center students during the 2008 about school safety. I have received the president award in 2010 before graduating from high school
