I feel that I'm a good tutor because I love sharing what I know with others, yet I'm very patient and compassionate. In college I had the opportunity to be a peer counselor, providing support to other students and listening to their issues. I focus on helping students work through material while reducing their frustration while facing learning obstacles. Since I studied human development in college, I work effectively with students of all ages and cultures. I can get along and communicate effectively with a diverse range of students, providing support and encouragement while we study together. I can tutor algebra, biochemistry, geometry, molecular biology, chemistry, pre-calculus, trigonometry, English grammar, essays, psychology, social sciences, test preparation for the SHSAT, SAT, and more. When I have free time, I like to swim, cook, and play board games.
