Schoolwork can be frustrating, and I aim to help the student maneuver through obstacles with confidence. The way students feel about themselves plays a major role in learning. Every student deserves an innovative teaching style tailored to them. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Howard University in 2011. All four years, I was selected to be a biology and general chemistry tutor. Following my graduation, I worked as a provider at a group family day care center for 3 years, where I supervised the educational process for K-8 clients. I enjoyed engaging the clients with supplemental education to help them excel both personally and professionally. I have experience working with elementary through high school age students, and am open to working with other age groups. Teaching science is a passion of mine, as is helping students with math. Science is mysterious to many students, and its comprehension opens many doors to success. Tutoring math is both challenging and rewarding. I focus more on comprehension than on correct answers. When students understand the process of how they got an incorrect answer, their chances of getting more correct answers in the future increases. I am passionate about sharing knowledge, and I love to make learning fun.
