Experience
I love to help people increase their knowledge levels in a variety of subjects. I began tutoring when I worked with friends, teaching them English as a second language in an informal setting. However, I am now a professional tutor, and I could not be more excited! I love to help others improve and begin to love learning. I graduated with a bachelor's degree from Sarah Lawrence College, where I also worked as a research assistant and instructor. I worked with students who struggled in various areas, developing creative methods that could help them overcome their academic challenges. While at university, I took part in a study abroad program where I attended the University of Florence. I am fluent in Italian and can help tutor students interested in that language. I have a TEFL certification, and I have taught English to students in the U.S., Poland, and Italy. I can also help students struggling with American or European history classes, psychology, geography, or writing skills. I love to help teach students to edit, because clear writing is one of the best communication skills a student can learn. In my spare time, I enjoy printmaking, drawing, illustration, and cooking.
