Experience
I tutor students from the high school Spanish classes I teach and in the general scholastic community. I enjoy the experience of working with students one-on-one and the opportunity to tutor those outside my school is exciting. Education is at its best when individualized and I also strongly believe that differentiating instruction to meet students' needs helps them find intrinsic motivation and passion for learning. I'm qualified to tutor in Spanish and English but also help in writing, literature, grammar, essay editing, and public speaking.Graduating summa cum laude, I have a dual Spanish and English Honors degree from the University of Albany. I earned my master's degree from Stony Brook University, in the subject of liberal studies. This degree is useful because it qualifies me to teach in the area of humanities. Now a certified New York City high school teacher, I teach Spanish at a top school that's well known for its academic rigor and competitive gifted programs. I've taught students at all levels of the academic spectrum, including those with learning disabilities and other differences who have then gone on to attend top universities.Outside the school and when not tutoring, I like to run, swim, and read.
