I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While I was working to complete my degree, I completed a few politics and communications internships, and I studied for a year in Africa. My passion for acting led me to London after graduation, and eventually, my love for writing led me to New York, where I study at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and work on my comedy writing skills. Currently, I'm a legal secretary who spends evenings writing comedy for my stand-up and improv performances and acting.  I believe that my worldly and college experiences have left me with enough knowledge to help others. I know how stressful it can be to take standardized tests, prepare college applications, and work your way through seemingly endless amounts of coursework. I want to help make the learning process easier for students, and I tailor my teaching style so that the lessons relate to my students' interests and meet their academic needs. I tutor students in a variety of math, English, history, and government subjects. I'm also available to tutor French and Spanish students, help with SAT prep, and am available for tutoring during the summer months.
