B.A. Anthropology, English, and Writing
ExperienceI've taught in everything from conversational and written French to fifth grade math. I have mentored high school students struggling with essay writing and am an expert at organizing near-impossible homework routines.
I love teaching and working with children. Helping students realize their potential gives me an immense feeling of satisfaction.
My combined SAT score was 1960. My expertise is in the vocabulary, reading, and essay sections. I can also teach test-taking skills.
I took AP English Composition, for which I received a 5.
HobbiesPart organized hyper-student, part creative multi-tasker. At school I was notorious for knitting in class– all, of course, while taking notes, asking questions, and actively participating in class discussions.
Speaking of knitting, I'm actually a published author of knitting patterns. I also enjoy drawing, and other textile arts such as embroidery.
I adore writing and reading fiction, and I'm fascinated by history and the critical study of language and culture.
