Experience
As a teacher of English as a foreign language and a current master's degree student in Teaching and Curriculum for high school literature, I've had a significant amount of interaction with students on a one-to-one basis, and I've found those experiences to be very gratifying. Working with one student at a time allows me the opportunity to identify with remarkable clarity his/her individual learning styles, background knowledge, and personal interests. Having a strong grasp of all of these allows me to maximize learning for him/her in a way that isn't as easy to do in a classroom of several students with diverse learning backgrounds. I work particularly well with students struggling with reading comprehension and writing skills. What's most important to me is presenting the material and skills that need improvement in a way that's relevant to their real-life experiences. That's how to successfully promote learning!

Hobbies
My main interests center around the arts and music. I am a singer/multi-instrumentalist currently working on a solo record, and I am collaborating with other musicians on a number of different musical projects. Basically, I spend my free time reading, writing songs, going to concerts and theater productions and spending time with my friends and family.
