Chance G.

Private tutor in Brooklyn, NY

Education

Having graduated in May 2011 cum laude from Boston University with a B.A. in Math (with minors in physics and chemistry), I just began a M.S. in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University. I intend to complete this degree by 2013 and then pursue a Ph.D. in Physics.

Experience

I love math, I love science, and I love meeting new people, so tutoring is the perfect job for me. I have had extensive experience teaching math, physics, and standardized test preparation. I taught calculus, pre-calculus, and SAT prep in Seoul, South Korea for three months, and I tutored in the USA throughout my undergraduate career. I currently tutor around 8 hours per week in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Hobbies

I'm originally from Alabama, and after three years in Boston and one year studying abroad in Singapore, I am ecstatic to finally live in NYC. I'm an avid traveler, amateur musician (piano and drums), language buff (French and Spanish particularly), and foodie. Right now I'm working on photonics engineering, but my real passion is theoretical physics: I aim to become a theoretical physicist and work toward the Grand Theory of Everything.
