Kendall P.
Private tutor in Brooklyn, NY
Education
In 2010, I graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a major in French and a minor in European Studies. I had a 3.75 GPA and was on the Dean's List four times.
Experience
In 2008, I partook in a year-long study abroad program in Aix-en-Provence, France. While there, I studied literature at l'Université de Provence with other French students. Outside of university, I taught a conversational English class as part of a program (GRETA) to rehabilitate unemployed French. Through this program I befriended a family for whom I later nannied their three girls. Upon returning from France, I maintained my bilingualism while promoting others to speak French by holding tutoring sessions for French 101 classes. I remain active in the New York City French community. I am a member of FIAF (French Institute, Alliance Française) and regularly participate in their cultural activities. I also try to return to Aix every year. Ultimately, I want to help others learn and develop a passion for this lovely language.

Hobbies
I either write, read or dance in my free time. A healthy balance of these activities coupled with a yoga class or rock climbing keeps me very happy. I'm in the midst of pursuing an MA in French.
